The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/adwords.google.com\/home\/tools\/adwords-editor\/?subid=us-en-et-g-aw-a-awhp_a1!o2-awhpm-0000000002-0000000001\">AdWords Editor<\/a> allows you to speed up the editing process for ads or copy and makes managing accounts more maintainable. If you\u2019re new to Google AdWords, this step-by-step guide on how to copy a campaign and update ads in bulk will give tools you need to make your life easier.<\/p>\n<p>Example: I have a new product line and want to copy and update an existing campaign because it already hosts all the keywords I need to target &#8211;\u00a0 I only need to change the product name:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find Client Account &gt; Get Recent Changes &gt; Basic (Faster) &gt;All Campaigns &gt; Ok<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will download any changes you have made to account since last using editor<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find Old Campaign&gt; Be on the Campaign Level &gt; Click on the Campaign &gt; Ctrl C &gt; Ctrl V<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9724\" src=\"https:\/\/rocketclicks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Step-1-1024x525.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"525\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once the \u201cnew\u201d campaign is copied, update the campaign name<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ad Group level of Copied Campaign &gt; Ctrl-A\u00a0 (this will highlight all the ad groups)<\/li>\n<li>Right click &gt; Replace Text &gt; Find text (type in old product name) &gt; Replace with (new product name) &gt; Hit Replace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: you\u2019ll need to do this at the keyword level as well and be sure to double check any keywords that are broad match modifiers. Sometimes the + sign doesn\u2019t get appended if your new keyword is two words versus only one word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9726\" src=\"https:\/\/rocketclicks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Step-2-1024x524.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"524\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ads level &gt; Copy &amp; Paste old ads that need updating &gt; Pause old ads &gt; Repeat step 4 on copied ads if you just need a quick update to H1, H2, or the description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, if your looking to update your ads then we will need to go a few steps deeper<\/p>\n<h2>Exporting and Importing Ads<\/h2>\n<p>After you\u2019ve created the campaign and updated both ad group and keywords, you are now ready to update the ads with new copy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ads Level &gt; Account &gt; Export &gt; Export Current View<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you plan to use this method more make sure to check off the box on the pop up window after you save the file that says \u201cOpen File When Export Is Complete\u201d (in the bottom left corner)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9727\" src=\"https:\/\/rocketclicks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Step-3-1024x548.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"548\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open file &gt; Update H1, H2, description or copy ads &gt; After your done updating &gt; Ctrl C (to everything) &gt; Go to Editor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: if you have any labels make sure to delete before importing<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Exporting<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9728\" &#8211; My Data Includes Columns For Campaigns and\/or Ad Groups &gt; Ctrl V (the excel file you copied) &gt; Paste in the Blank Field (step #3 in the screenshot) &gt; Hit
